Project background

The Isle Madame project was developed and are operated by SWEB Development within the context of the “Community feed-in tariff program”. Project planning commenced in 2012, and project development work lasted for about two years.

The facility is located on the Southern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Isle Madame’s clearing and civil works were completed by a local construction company from the Island of Isle Madame.

This 1.99-megawatt project consists of one turbine.
