North Beaver Bank Community Wind Project

Project background

The North Beaver Bank project was developed and are operated by SWEB Development within the context of the “Community feed-in tariff program”. Project planning commenced in 2012, and project development work lasted for about two years.

The facility is located about 45 minutes north of Halifax, Nova Scotia, the province’s largest city. At 8-megawatt’s, North Beaver Bank is W.E.B’s largest project located in Nova Scotia.

This 8-megawatt project consists of four turbines.
